3. Trade a their 2nd round pick to Columbus for Josh Anderson, sign 1 year $2.25M
4. Trade Derek Ryan and David Rittich to Vegas for MA Fleury (25% retained).
5. Sign Tyler Toffoli (5x$5.5M)
6. Sign Laurent Brossoit (1x$1M)
7. Sign Derek Forbort (3x$2M)
8. Sign Mark Jankowski (2x$1M)
9. Sign Andrew Mangipane (2x$2M)

Flames really need to make Lucic or Backlund salary go away. That happens they have space to deal with longer term salaries for their RFAs the following summer.
What I think happens.
1. Ward brought back as coach.
2. Gaudreau traded for Gostisbehere.
3. Miss out on a free agent of significance by chasing Hall, who goes back east to a winner.
4. Resign Forbort, Gustafsson, Talbot, Jankowski.
5. Rinse and repeat.
