He'd be closer to home in either place. He's exciting to watch as we all well know. He puts butts in seats and love him or hate him he's entertaining and teams value that.
He also has a very friendly contract in todays terms of 8-9 and 10 million a year players.
He also scores!

Careful what we wish for. Trade Gaudreau and if you don't get Hall the team is weaker. You have to get to the playoffs first and we never used to get to the playoffs. With Gaudreau, Monahan and now Tkachuk at least we've made it 4 out of the past 6 years and that never used to happen.

I say whatever if we trade him you could get 3 mill in space by taking lower level reliable roster 3 mill +- RW, from NJ a 1st round pick and the proverbial prospect.

You still have to resign Brodie, Talbot ( We have 4 UFAs on D young guys aside and we need a goalie and that'll cost us anyway) Also theres a raise for Mangiapane.

If let Hamonic walk and go to the Jets we could have 6 mill or so left and IF you get 3 mill more from selling JG then you have to spend that on a Hall because you sent Guadreau packing.
