How is that a good comparison? Tkachuk didn't hold out. Iginla is a much more extreme version of what Tkachuk did which should serve as an example that the team is more than capable of separating the business side from the hockey side.
Trying to compare what Nieuwendyk did to what Tkachuk did, a pretty run of the mill late summer signing, is such an out to lunch comparison that it is laughable. Perhaps you do not have a very good memory of that or weren't alive, I don't know, but it is completely off base.
