I really don't get where people get this idea. The Flames are probably among the most patient teams in the league with their coaches. Despite generally having bad to terrible performance as a team, they almost never fire a coach mid-season, and everyone gets 2-3 seasons even if they've shown nothing special and bring no success.
There hasn't been a single-season coach in this team in over a decade, last one was Jim Playfair back in 2006-07.
I have also literally never heard anyone outside this board even discuss the idea that our roster is somehow coach killers. Again in these playoffs it was very clear that the team plays exactly the way the coach wants, whether it works
