1) I'll still watch some of the playoffs, but not with the same level of interest now that the Flames are out.

2) If we're still in the same COVID situation, hockey to watch will be a welcome respite. If we get out of COVID, I'll watch less unless it's out and social

3) I don't know if I'd say die hard, but I've been a very dedicated fan. I've kept up with watching games and following the team actively despite being on the other side of the world for more than a decade.

4) I'd rather just be a hockey fan that cheers for whichever team is playing hockey that I like or has players I like rather than being a loyal fan of another franchise. After so many years away from Calgary, and the Flames being such a consistently disappointing franchise, it's hard not to question the arbitrary allegiance to a team just on the basis of being born in that city. It seems really stupid to repeatedly experience disappointment by choosing to support a team I arbitrarily supported in the past. I wouldn't offer the same allegiance to a person in my life who kept disappointing me this way. I understand people who benefit from membership in a community of fellow fans, but not having lived in Calgary for many years there's also pretty limited sense of community membership through being a fan for me, apart from CP of course.

5) The hockey is good and the NHL has done a great job of developing their product over the last couple of decades, but the reffing is terrible. It's just way too inconsistent, arbitrary and confusing. I especially feel in recent years that I don't even really know what a penalty is anymore because standards constantly change, even within individual games.
