Your goalie position should cost you somewhere around 10M a season if you want to compete.
Boston makes up for it with the incredible value they saved on their top players.

Vegas is a bad example because they had they were gifted a dominant team. You can sure as hell bet they're regretting Fleury's extension.

Rangers were swept in the play-ins and are salivating thinking about the day Lundqvist's contract expires next year.

No one has confidence in St. Louis' goalies. Binnington fell back down to earth after his crazy run last year and no one has confidence in Allen. They have fantastic depth and an incredible blue-line. You can sure as hell bet they'd be more than happy to part with one of their goalies to be able to re-sign Pietrangelo, who's likely to walk this summer.

Tampa has always had the amazing advantage of being able to get their players signed for cheap because of their location and income-tax. There's no wonder why they're able to have that much tied up in goalies, yet they're still gonna lose a very valuable player or two this summer.

Goalies are voodoo. You're praying to the hockey gods that they don't get injured or have a whirlwind season
