I think people might be overrating Hischier here.
He’s only one draft after Tkachuk, and he’s been on a 20 goal, 50-55 point pace each of his three seasons.
If they want Tkachuk it probably means they are sending Hischier and their first this year because Tkachuk has been much better at the NHL level than Hischier has and Hischier hasn’t really shown much progression.
