I’m really hoping they just promote him to president and let someone else take over. It’s clear now that he has no vision for this team and isn’t a very good evaluator of talent. And the constant bleeding of picks, failing to capitalize on expiring deals, and patching over of mistakes with buyouts and garbage for garbage swaps has left the organization in a state of having no real strengths to sell on. It’s no wonder so many players want nothing to do with the Flames.
You just have to look at his list of moves in the last 5 years and ask yourself if this is the kind of guy who’s earned stability.
