Time to give Tkachuk the C
We have no idea if Tkachuk even wants to be here past his current contract.
No sense stripping the C from Gio unless it’s for someone you know will be the face of the franchise for a long time. Tkachuk is good but this is kind of the corner Treliving painted himself into.
Besides all that, why do it now when Seattle might even make that decision for us? It just isn’t the right timing.
