Beyond the trades though, I look at the Preds and I see a boring team that, like the Flames, is deeply flawed in its structure.

Poile is far from perfect. But he's built a team that has advanced to the SCF and deep into playoff rounds multiple times. Which is more than Treliving can claim in his entire career. Plus Poile can build a cap team with the Flames, where he's faced all kinds of ownership limitations with the Preds.
