I think Poile is over-rated.
He got Forsberg for Erat, and Forsberg turned into a star. That carried the team a long way. But that was one trade that was gifted to him.
He also traded Jones for Jahansen. He should be fired just for that.
And before that, he packaged Weber for Subban, and he should be fired just for that.
Beyond the trades though, I look at the Preds and I see a boring team that, like the Flames, is deeply flawed in its structure.
