The definitely shouldn't but they will. Embarking on a three month hiring process that resulted in Glenn Gulutzan is the example that most represents his critical flaw. He's an extremely talented and almost ruthless negotiator but that alone isn't not enough.
The coaching thing has bugged me for a long time. I think it's fairly telling that since and aside from D. Sutter, no one who has run our bench has ever been offered another shot at an NHL head coaching job after leaving the Flames.
