All I can say is, that I am grateful to have seen some competitive hockey in the late summer doldrums of August. As a Cub fan,and in normal years, my guys would have been also-rans by now, and preseason NFL is usually a joke.
At the very least, there are some things to be addressed for both of our teams, before whatever we get for a 2020-2021 campaign, and this playoff experiment highlighted what will be needed to be fixed, for any near future post seasons.
And whatever is in store for the Flames or the 'Hawks, we can see that 2 superstars and a sense of entitlement is further away from success than either of OUR teams can achieve!

Funny thing.
I watched your team in the last few minutes of their season and marveled at the pace of their play. They were pushing and left it all out there. They were beaten by a much better team, but Toews and Kane are rock stars.
Your team has cap issues, but your best players are not part timers, and drag their teammates with them
The Flames have different issues, in my view
