I have been vocal on here last couple days regarding some posters wanting to talk about the future before the season is over.
I want to clear up any misunderstanding about me thinking this team was complete or a real contender. My argument was all about timing.
Now.
The series is over.
The season is over.
We can really have a conversation about what this debacle means for the team we cheer for. The first period shows us the ability, but ability isn't enough in the big leagues. Every team has the ability. It's about commitment. The Stars were laughing on the bench down 3-1. Flames were thinking about whatever the #### they were thinking about.
Seven goals on 24 shots!
Seven goals on 24 shots!
I've been a fan of this team for 40 years. This might be the worst I can remember. Not because I thought they were particularly good. I didn't really even think they were going to win this game; I was hoping, but whatever, hope is for the hopeful. Winners win. Guys like Joe Pavelski win.
I'm wanting something new. There is not one player on this team who I feel has distinguished himself enough to be untouchable.
Hopefully the culture change can run deep.
