The Flames have three options as I see it with the roster:

1. Status quo, with some tweaks
2. Re-tool, leveraging some core players in hockey trades. Perhaps a signing like Hall to enable some trades.
3. Full re-build. Trade core pieces for prospects and picks. Build around some key young players like Tkachuk, Andersson.

Off the ice, they need a proven coach. I think Treliving survives.
