Biggest game of the year and I don't know if I will be able to watch (am at a vineyard for a trip planned with the wife). Hopefully I can catch the latter half of the game.
I have no real prediction for tonight. If the flames can get a goal or two lead early, they are likely to fall asleep and let the stars do their best to claw away and steal the win. Or if the stars score first, the flames will panic and let the game get away from them.
Gaudreau, monahan, Giordano aren't magically figuring out how to play in big games all of a sudden tonight, an elimination game. It's unfair to even expect such a dramatic revolutionary progression over night.
It's surreal to think this could be the last time we see this group together. As such, as much as I'd love for them to come back and win the series, I've also come to terms that losing and moving on from this core is so much better mid/long term for flames fans.
So, for perhaps for the last time for what has been a beyond frustrating year.... Go flames go.
