Yeah especially with only so many jobs open, and only so many teams looking for a starter.
Realistically who would look at Talbot as a 1A starter this year especially with other lots of goalies available.
Carolina? Calgary? Washington? That's probably about it and really those teams probably look for a longer term piece than Talbot.
Lehner and Markstrom will be the cream of the UFA goalie crop, but there are a lot of tandem type goalies available (Khudobin, Talbot, Greiss), guys who were elite starters that maybe have question marks now (Crawford, Holtby), and servicable veterans that can be used as a backup now (Smith, Anderson, Miller, Elliott, Howard).
So outside of Lehner and Markstrom I don't think it will be a good year to be a goalie looking for a job.
