Between his lack of production in big game situations and the obvious continuous motivation/dedication problems in the locker room, what does he really bring as team leadership? IMO nothing.
Great person, good community member, good PR guy- seemingly terrible on ice leader and in room presence.
I'll take my lumps for it but Gio should have lost the captaincy before last season IMO.
