These guys simply do not have the jam of the 2004 team which went to the wall and through it for their coach and their fellow teammates. Not this crew at all.

Also, notwithstanding how erratically the Flames played, sometimes you just have to credit the other team. In this case, regardless of what the Flames did, or intended to do, or tried to do, the Stars simply played their game - and they did so hard and fast. Flames didn't play their own game and basically just gave up chasing it.

I didn't like the run-and-gun in the last game, thought that didn't favour the Flames but they came out of it well. Mostly. But where was the bang and crash they had in the first game? It seems like they won that game and figured they had the series done.

I think you hit the nail on the head! Identity! We don't have it!! Imagine if we had to play the 2004 Flames, would we stand a chance;? Absolutely not. Every guy on that team gave it their all, series after series while only a handful of guys tonight were singled out as caring enough to show up.

We were down one goal but there was hardly enough push back in third. No identity! If the team is not good enough then they should be outworking the other team, not complaining about being nervous!
