Unfortunate side effect of rarely drafting in the top 10, and not hitting home runs when we do.
Mediocrity breeds mediocrity. Without GM intervention winning some rebuilding trades, finish middle of the pack, draft middle of the pack, repeat. The years we've had better picks they haven't turned out like the Heiskanens have. And MacKinnon is one of the best in the league so can't expect that unless we win the lottery
