So I re-read the book Wrestlecrap over the weekend by RD Reynolds and Merle Vincent.
Its a great book from the standpoint of looking for the worst characters and booking decisions through wrestling history, but the interesting thing is that it takes a deep dive into the Monday Night Wars and how WCW booked itself into oblivion and that after the end of WCW Vince and the WWE made even worse decisions and booking choices and even though it didn't harm them then except they lost the momentum of the 5.0 to 6.0 ratings eventually losing them, it amazing how it resonates to this day with the both organizations WWE and AEW really struggling in terms of booking cards and making characters that are interesting and have lasting power.
