My views:
Flames played okay and the game was fairly even until the late goal in the second period with less than a minute left. Momentum swung to Dallas at that point and it carried through to the third forcing the Flames to take lots of bad penalties (yes, they were penalties).
With momentum against them, the Flames started chasing rather than dictating, leading to consecutive penalties, which took anyone not on the PK out of the game, also tiring out the PKers at the same time.
Bennett is playing great this playoffs. Bad penalty by him at the end of the second and was a clear jump on his part, but like other players, you have to take the good with the bad, and his physical style will lead to those kinds of penalties sometimes.
Can't stand the Flames strategy along the boards to move the puck backwards rather than forward. Happens too consistently across all lines to not be coaching.
Johnny continues to be better. If he can continue his upward trajectory, he'll get a breakout series of games, which means Monahan and Lindholm will also heat up.
The team misses Tkachuk's IQ, board play and smart passes for clean exits.
