Overall I thought that was a pretty good game from the Flames.
Very promising to see Gaudreau have some jump and even Monahan being somewhat better. Lindholm is still playing pretty bad though.
Second line didn't have a great game, but then again they were a stick break away from an OT winner so can't be too harsh to them either. Mostly I think it was Mangiapane just having bad decision day and Rieder not being quite at 2nd line level in hockey smarts. Got to love Rieders fighting spirit though.
Bad penalties have been an issue whole series for the Flames. Stupid, unnecessary, careless penalties at bad times, that needs to improve.
Lucic-Bennett-Dube was great once again, could easily have had another goal.
Dallas seems to have finally figured out our PK, which means Ward & co might need to make some adjustments.
You can tell the series is starting to wear on our D. It's been fast and physical and they've been under a lot of pressure. I think they've handled themselves mostly okay though, I don't agree with all the criticism. Dallas was just doing a great job at pressuring us.
It's really tough to predict this series. Wouldn't surprise me if we lost the next two or won them both. These have been close games, with very small things making the difference.
