The Flames are literally worse by every single metric this year versus last year. They are simply relying on special teams and praying Talbot plays god-like every game to even stand a chance.

I have no idea how tbe fancy stats work or where to find them but I would be curious for a period by period breakdown of this game. To my eye they were even or perhaps even a slight advantage for the Flames in the first, blown out in the second and third (with a helping hand from the powerplays as it is tough for any team to get in a 5 on 5 groove killing so many penalties) and then even in OT.
