Look, I'm not saying Gaudreau has been good. At all. But let's get some honest context here. The Flames' top line has improved dramatically in the defensive end but it has cost them all their offence as a result. Having a first line that is one-dimensional - whether offensively or defensively - is tough to win the Stanley Cup with. Players don't get paid north of $6 million dollars with the expectation they can't control the game all over the ice and the entire top line (though Lindholm is sub-6) needs to step up and start doing that. No one has a bigger impact than the centre.
