I’m happy to see Geoff Ward had the boys ready to play. This rendition of the Flames has a lot more fight in them. I think coaching has something to do with that, even if it is also about the Flames drafting a bunch of highly competitive players who are now taking control of the team (Bennett, Andersson, Mangiapane, Tkachuk and Dube, as well as Valimaki and Pelletier on the way). It was great to see the effort the Flames brought to all the puck battles.
