Must be something in the water. That's the only way that the Oilers can lose to the 23rd ranked team in the NHL in 4 games. Not because Nurse was a pylon, not because Mike Smith scored in his own net, not because Draisatl is invisble in the defensive zone, not because Kassian was a 3.2 million white elephant, not because RNH had 8 points and still managed to be a -2, and MCDavid leads the playoffs and is a +1.
Also don't look at McDavid's 43.1% FO, Haas 41.7%, Ennis at 33.3%. Those are meaningless, faceoffs don't score goals or pad stats.

Well said.
Clinging to advanced stats and bad luck is so oilers.
Stubborn/delusional to a fault.
I'd say I'm surprised but I can't be.
Also merely moving RNH to the second line would apparently be enough to beat the Hawks, according to the pool cue and his friend.
How can you be so arrogant still, after losing fair and square and not even in five games?
This is what I mean when I replied to WO403 about how you can't feel bad for their fans or team. They turn around after being outright beaten and eliminated and throw these tidbits and we deserve a 5th first overall in your face.
And yet I hope they don't change because this is what keeps the incompetence and shortcomings in place. They convince themselves there's nothing wrong, that they just pulled the short end of the stick and thus carry on with the same faulty approach, mentality and blueprint that lands them in the same place 13 out of 14 years.
Keep the excuses and belief flowing, I say.
