As a casual fan I'm very confused by what I hear from fans. Two years ago when we were losing our shirt in trades for stars, Jays fans were suggesting that drafting high in baseball doesn't really matter like other sports.
The past couple years now that we're drafting high, the narrative seems to have flipped, suggesting that drafting high
is actually important?
