Like many I enjoy reading Edmontonians reactions to the loss.
NOT many Oiler Fans posting much of of anything. In the past when the Oilers collapsed they'd angrily bombard their fan forums but not this time. Seems this seriously has stunned their faithful.
Those that are posting are still blinded by their two 20 million dollar superstars. They can be tsk tsked but "need better wingers". I'm gob smacked at the number of them blaming Tippett. Once again their heroes aren't the problem its the coach.
Sure looks like the death knell for top heavy, super star laden rosters like Edmonton and Pittsburgh. Toronto is worse and far from out of the woods and even if they do shake off Columbus they won't go far.
Still Oiler fans cling to keeping both expensive super stars. They are going nowhere if they don'y accept trading one of them. Either way i watched that whole game and niether Drysaitl nor McDavid are any where near 200 foot players.
Compare that to Gaudreau and Monahan whom we've seen playing hard in their own end, the way a well structured team expects them too. We have even seen big old Lucic hustle back and be the first forward back on occasion. It can be taught just apparently not in Edmonton.
