Goaltending is weird.
You need it to win...but it's impossible to predict who's going to actually be good year to year, and even from the regular season to the playoffs.
Matt Murray won two cups, and hasn't really ever been good in the regular season. Binnington was pretty much in the ECHL, and then went on a huge run.
So much relies on system, team play in front of you, and sometimes just getting hot since the playoffs are a small sample size.
It seemed destined that Hellebuyck would outplay Talbot...instead Hellebuyck has a .900 save percentage for the series, and Talbot puts up a .945
