It's because we keep hire crappy coaches though. I'm definitely placing the blame on the players as well though, it's not the right roster. It's also not the right coach. Every coach we hire and then let go is done as an NHL head coach.
Darryl Sutter is the ONLY coach we've had that has gone on to be a head coach at the NHL level again since...oh crap, it's worse than I thought. Pierre Page.
Pierre Page was the last head coach we had that went on to be a head coach elsewhere in the league - and he only managed one more season. He left us, coached the Ducks for one year - and was then gone.
This is an organizational issue. This team doesn't pay for good coaches, or the management has been so bad that coaches don't want to come here.
