Apples and Oranges. Basketball to hockey is a fair comparison (although in this case the Suns actually play in downtown Phoenix), but with football you have 8 home games a year with fans usually making a full day of it, not even remotely comparable to 41 home games, many during the workweek.
I had season tickets in Calgary and I wouldn't have had them if the arena was the distance Glendale is, simple as that. And I was a hardcore hockey fan in a hardcore hockey country.
