Well I guess it is as a summary, but not the spirit of the game. The Flames were up in CF% through two periods but score effects played a role in the final frame for sure.
The Jets had the only four high danger chances in the third, compared to four total in the first two.
Five on five the Flames are great defensively, but they need to create more offensively for sure.

This sure felt like one of those games where the advanced metrics don't accurately depict what was going on throughout the game. There was hardly any room on the ice at all 5v5, which seems like the reason for the very low number of HD chances for both teams. But the Flames had the puck most of the time, and the Jets were chasing through most of the game.
If anything, I think it shows a really strong strategic effort from two really well matched teams, which is why the game was decided on special teams.
