I don't know why Tkachuk shoulders any blame here at all. "Borderline dirty contact"? He followed his check into the boards, which is what players are supposed to do. His foot likely made contact with Sheifele, and was a contributing cause to why the leg buckled, but those things are liable to happen in hockey.
There was nothing "borderline" and most certainly nothing "dirty" about Tkachuk's part in this. It was a hockey play, from start to finish.
