Why on earth would you pick Kessel as a player to compare with to say someone's game doesn't translate to the playoffs?
I would be delighted with either Johnny or Monahan if they turned in a Kessel level playoff performance. 20+ points en route to a Stanley Cup win and only narrowly losing the Conn Smythe trophy to the best player in the world would be a dream post season for either of them.
Saying a player's post season level of play is Phil Kessel quality is a compliment. That guy was amazing during the Pens' last run.
