The definition of "stacked" seems even more tenuous than "elite" but I would think it would mean stacked with exceptional talent.
Neither the 2011 Kings nor the 2018 Blues fit that mould. And certainly not in the way the 2007 Wings did, with multiple HOF and elite-level stars (including at least a couple who would be considered close to the greatest of all-time at their position), a President's Trophy, and had finished 1st in their division for 6 straight years prior (even before Babcock) and 1st in the west for 3 years prior.
If the 11-12 Kings/18-19 Blues were stacked, then the term seems pretty soft to me. Regardless, 2007-08 Detroit was on a different level, just as Team Canada is generally on a different level than Team Finland, who are "stacked" in their own right, sure, and it's fair to say Babcock has only had success with exceptionally "stacked" teams.
