Whenever possible, if there are 3 games scheduled in one arena in one day, they've scheduled a round robin game as the second game. Those games will be played with regular season rules, so they should be closer to a fixed length.
If the first game of any day runs too long, they should have the option of cancelling the round robin game to allow the late game to start on time.
On days with 3 play-in games, they'll push back the start of the second game if the first runs long, and push back the start of the third if the second runs long. I believe they've said there will be a minimum of an hour between the end of one game and the start of warmups for the next. Presumably, there will be a drop-dead time for the final game of any day (I'd think any time after 10:00pm local time) where if they can't start the final game before that time, they'll cancel the game and bump the final "if necessary" game to another available day if needed.
