also an interesting take on an old twist happened when i popped by my parents' place when they weren't home to clean out the fridge (because why pay for food?), and there was some non-sweet strawberry sauce on the stove - pretty much strawberries, water, and corn starch with minimum sugar i suspect.

peanut butter and ~sour strawberry sandwich, WOW!

also a note on sandwiches, home-made or even sandwich-maker fresh bread is a huge bonus.
