Man, this game really sucks sometimes.
I hit my irons incredibly well today. 5 through PW, I could basically do no wrong. This is unusual for me, as I normally do rather a lot of wrong. Not today. Beautiful, arcing laser-guided missiles. I think I mis-hit one 8-iron shot, and even that one wasn't a catastrophe.
But of course, suddenly as soon as that all starts coming up Milhouse, I suddenly lose the ability to hit my driver. At all. I start slicing, which almost never happens anymore. I used to slice, the problem was my swing path, I fixed that, and now my drives are at least reliable enough so as to be generally playable. Well, not today. Nothing I did seemed to work. So a day where I should have been very pleased with myself, I ended up just being really frustrated throughout. I almost wish I'd hit everything badly, because at least then I could shrug my shoulders and say "oh well, bad day all around, that'll happen".
