I'd actually approach Tampa about Point first. If they move him:
1. It clears more cap space
2. His RFA deal expires in two seasons and then his next contract will have them in cap hell again, so they avoid that
3. They'd still have Stamkos/Cirelli/Johnson/Gourde/Paquette/Coleman/Stephens who can play C
In a bubble they'd never trade Point, but to remain cap compliant they might have to.
If you can't find any footing there, then move to Cirelli and try to get him via trade instead of offer sheet.
Alex Killorn actually has his NTC turn into a limited NTC this off season. He provides a 16 team NO trade list. If we're not on it or he can be swayed to take us off it, maybe you can work a trade for both Cirelli and Killorn or Point and Killorn. Not that we need a left winger, but he's a really good two way player as well, and then you can put Johnny on the market and replace the futures you just gave up to get Cirelli/Killorn or Point/Killorn while also clearing cap space to fit them in.
