I wouldn't trade for Patrick unless we were getting him for next to nothing. He may not play again, it sucks but there's a chance. Migraines are terrible, I've suffered from them for years now. Some days you area complete write off, other times it's a struggle just to function let alone play hockey. There could be so many triggers for them; loud noises, bright lights or being hit...all of those happen at every game. I don't know of any miracle cure that will just guarantee he'll never get them again, even if he's symptom free for a year, they might just start back up again.

Patrick is a HUGE risk, other teams know this. No one is going to actually trade anything of value for him knowing he may not play or play only a few games. Trading him just doesn't make sense for anyone. You're either the GM who traded for damaged goods and gave up value for nothing or you're the GM who traded away a star player for pennies on the dollar. No GM wants to risk being either of those.
