Yeah I just spent some time reading up on Patrick (there's not a lot of available information out there regarding his current status), but talk of injury issues plagued him to back before he was drafted. It'd be a considerable risk - one that you'd have to think Tree would not be willing to accept. The appeal of his skillset is still there, but if Johnny were to hit the trade market I have to imagine the offers would be sweeter elsewhere.
There will be a bidding war for Johnny's services if he does become available - and if he does get trade,d it will be the most important trade since Joe Nieuwendyk made his way to Dallas.
