Nolan Patrick would have been a slam dunk consensus number 1 pick in 2017 had he not had the injury label placed on him already.
He is a player that missed a quarter of all his junior games and many of the games he played he was playing through injury. He has now missed 1/3 of his NHL career. I don’t see how he is going to all of a sudden have a long and healthy career.
Not sure how a top 10 draft pick is riskier than a player that has been sidelined almost every season for some form of injury and most recently has missed an entire year of development due to migraines that could be the result of concussions.
In my opinion Patrick is just a tier above guys like Puljujarvi, alias Anderson, Casey Middlestat, Sam Bennett as former high picks that either haven’t panned out or have huge question marks.
