Absolutely!
So many people here are trying to hang me out to dry as an uncaring person.
Knowing what I know about Hamonic I absolutely make that choice, and it is selfish. I dont have a problem with that at all.
His wife and his kid are not in harms way. He does not have a medical condition that puts him at risk.
He is at no greater risk than any member of the Calgary Flames.
Again based off all the stuff that has gone on in his life I understand the choice.
It is not a logical choice though.
He has the right to refuse to play as mandated by the CBA.
His kid is not at risk, his wife is not at risk.
It is a selfish play. I get it and understand it.
He is not protecting his wife or child by sitting out. I definitely would understand if they were in harms way but they are not.
He is a great guy. I know his story well. My family knows his family from St.Malo.
Based off what the guy has gone thru I would not play either.
I dont respect the choice, but understand it.
