Wait, are you suggesting that your racial identity really doesn't say much of anything useful about the struggles you've faced in your life, and shouldn't be used to assume anything important about you as a person? That a person's individual experience can't be extrapolated from simplistic and superficial observations about race and gender? That just maybe those immutable attributes shouldn't be what everyone is fixated on at all times, or sit at the center of our political and social discourse? These are shocking suggestions.
