This is probably a dumb question, but if a player is opting out does that mean he can't change his mind later?

What if the Flames are miraculously in the finals and suffer several injuries, can Hamonic decide to play suddenly and re-join the team?

I'm sure the chances of that happening are basically zero because it wouldn't look good if you initially cited family health reasons, but who knows.

Or what if another player opts out because of a sick family member that recovers at a later date.
