I did not know Turek restructured his contract to make room for Kiprusoff and Iginla. Sounds like he voluntarily decreased his salary from ~$5m plus bonuses to $1-2m plus bonuses. That's a huge chunk of change, especially in 2004. I never disliked Turek but that moves him way up my list of favorite Flames goalies. I'm amazed the PA let it happen. I voted for Lemelin based on tenure, but wow.
