We wanted to get a bit younger. I could see myself signing Nyquist to a UFA contract next season... not so much for a 37-year-old Parise.
Gus is a really great winger who can play both sides with ease. He has similar ratings to Parise across the board and has a 71 overall.
Curtis wanted Parise for a while. I was initially reluctant to trade one of my best value players but when faced with the prospect of getting an even better value player back, I jumped.
