I think that all of Flames fandom is on board with Janko needing a fresh start somewhere. He is the perfect player to go the other way in an Anderson trade. Only a small sweetener needed.
Bennett should be the third line centre. Hartley had him on a strong development curve, and then GG, Peters and now Ward have him buried in the wrong position on an offensive black hole line. I expect Gallant will have him on the right line, in the right position, simply because he is a smarter coach. I know that we will agree to disagree on this. If he plays on a line with Anderson and Dube, even if they trade him the next off season, his value will increase exponentially.

To a lot on this board, Bennett could shoot someone in the middle of 5th avenue and not lose any support.
Of course that person would have nothing to worry about as Bennett's shot has the force of a light tropical breeze, and unless Bennett is shooting at the feet of the person there is no chance he is going to hit his target. But what an effort!
Here's the weird thing. I like Sam Bennett as a person. Seems like a really good guy and a good team mate. But yes, I hate Sam Bennett the player. I hate players that have no talent, are treated like stars, and paid a lot of money for no production. This guy has been given everything and earned nothing. If this guy was on any other team he would be the butt of our jokes and derision about bad contracts and draft busts. Sports is very much of a "what have you done for me lately" world (right Mark Jankowski) and Sam Bennett continues to produce nothing of consequence and get paid well above his weight class. I can't wait for him to be traded or being allowed to walk away for nothing. The team will improve just by losing him from the roster and recouping the cap space.
