yeah, that is a very real concern.
Thing is though, dropping him in now could do even more damage to his development as its going to be insanely high pressure from the first puck drop with no room to hide (or really even shelter anyone).
Then you add in how improbable that next season happens anytime before the calendar turns again and its more like 19-20 months of no real on ice training for him as he hasnt played or practiced since what...last April?
